From the Beginning...

Harry Neff
Jack Neff Tom Neff

In 1926, Harry A. Neff founded the Neff Engineering Company in Fort Wayne, Indiana, as a mill supply house. Neff Engineering supplied the fluid power products required by local industry, and eventually evolved into an industrial distributor.

From 1950 through 1995, Jack and Tom Neff led Neff Engineering’s expansion to include offices in Indianapolis, IN (1950), Milwaukee, WI (1952), South Bend, Indiana (1953), Appleton/Kaukauna, Wisconsin (1972) and Grand Rapids, MI (1975).

In 1996, the baton was passed to the third generation of the Neff family. In 2000, the entity now known as Neff Group Distributors, Inc., was created to leverage the synergies and efficiencies for all Neff companies. Neff expanded into Eastern Michigan by acquiring Kober Sales and BKB in 2001, and into Northern Ohio with the acquisition of Fluidtrols Corporation in 2002. Today, John, Dan and Jim Neff lead Neff Group Distributors, Inc., which includes Neff Engineering Company, Inc.; Neff Engineering of Wisconsin; and Fluidtrols Corporation.
